Musical Orphans Didn't Leave Anyone Out With This Celebration

Stepping into Notley Abbey, and its subdued yet inspiring grounds is like stepping back in time, while the attention to detail, decorations, and amenities are all thoroughly modern, and guaranteed to ensure that no one feels stranded in a previous decade. Notley Abbey, in Buckinghamshire, really is the perfect setting for the eclectic medleys that have made Musical Orphans a household name on the entertainment scene, and a Christmas party at this elegant venue has to be one of the highlights of our year.

The party's theme was Gatsby, which obviously called for plenty of jazz and swing, giving everyone the chance to get up and get dancing, and Musical Orphans let the saxophone take the lead on this occasion, bringing in some traditional Christmas hymns and modern party tunes, as well as picking up on the themes of elegance and exuberance that epitomise F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel, and working them into a musical style that was unique to this venue and event.

As guests bopped, swayed, danced and jived beneath swags of brightly coloured silk, the saxophone sounds lent a comforting warmth to the cold of the evening, their peculiar blend of sombre yet joyful tones bringing out everything that Christmas is about, from celebrating companionship, to remembering those who are unable to be with us this year.

With everyone dancing throughout the evening, the party was a runaway success, and, with Musical Orphans creating a festive, modern interpretation of the Jazz Age, we believe we made it a night that will be remembered for a long time to come.
