Wedding Band performing Live in Royston Cambridgeshire
Rural revels with Adam Chandler's Swing Band
Set in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, South Farm, in Royston, may be rurally placed, but, when it comes to the interior, South Farm is all about style. And style is what David and June are all about, too – which is why the sounds of swing were the perfect way for this couple to serenade the start of their new life together.
After meeting on a cruise, June and David were attracted to each other from the first moment, and, after a couple of shared meals, and some long, engaging conversations, they finally took their first steps as a couple – to the sounds of the ship's swing band!
With that in mind, they both knew they wanted to recreate those magical two weeks as they took a holiday romance into a lifelong commitment, and Adam Chandler was only too happy to oblige, selecting a five piece band to play the same songs that June and David had danced to on the cruise that brought them together.
June:"We wanted a wedding that would recreate the two weeks we'd enjoyed together when we first met; we were on a cruise, David celebrating his fiftieth birthday, while I was finally moving on following the death of my husband, Harry, a year before. I don't think either of us had planned for romance on the waves, but that was how it happened – we got chatting over lunch, and found that we had a lot of shared interests. The rest, as they say, is history!
Thank you, Adam, for making our wedding truly magical, and giving us a completely personal celebration."
David:"The wedding was as magical as the cruise that had brought us together, and I would venture to say that Adam's swing band played even better than the cruise ship entertainers! It was a truly magical night, and exactly what June and I wanted to start our life together."
