Wedding Band performing Live in Ely Cambridgeshire
Finding love's family with Musical Orphans
Ely's Old Hall is a venue that's all about timeless elegance. Walking around, it's as easy to see the house and grounds as the backdrop to a Victorian melodrama, or a dark-subconscious contemporary drama, and that's exactly what Harriet and Dean wanted for their wedding, with a musical brief that spanned several decades, and presented a pleasingly eclectic range of styles.
When Musical Orphans were asked to set the scene for Harriet and Dean's wedding celebrations, the main criteria, interestingly and, for us, uniquely, was that the age difference between the couple – Harriet is fifteen years older than Dean – was reflected in the music. The couple, as you might expect, have quite different musical tastes, yet were very keen that they should be reflected equally. Fortunately, Adam Chandler is very experienced with creating perfect playlists, and, with an in depth knowledge of music, was able to spot a point of overlap, and a place to hinge the diversity of the musical element of the couple's celebrations.
Harriet:"We chose Musical Orphans because, when Adam spoke about the possibilities that particular band offered, it was the first time we'd encountered someone who could bring all of who and what Dean and I are into our wedding celebrations.
Even we were surprised – in the best possible way – by how well crafted the music was, on the day; I'd happily recommend Adam Chandler, and Musical Orphans, to anyone looking for something a bit different."
