Wedding Band performing Live in Biggleswade Bedfordshire
Pilots licensed to party with We Light It Up at Shuttleworth
The lights went from green to red during the course of this stylish celebration, as pilot Tony married Vicky a fellow pilot. These two high fliers hadn't had a soaring start to their relationship; both took an instant dislike to each other the first time Vicky served as co-pilot on one of Tony's flights, with the animosity proving so intense that Tony requested not to be paired with Vicky again.
Fortunately, Tony's manager ignored his request, and told these star-crossed lovers to get over whatever their problem with each other was. In time, they did more than that, finding an enduring love under the initial loathing.
Shuttleworth was a logical venue for these two pilots to tie the knot, with aircraft of all eras, styles, and sizes surrounding the happy couple and their guests. The day started with We Light It Up playing a light soundtrack of music designed to evoke soaring heights, gliding flights, and the intense perspective of being high above everything and everyone else. With green and white lights pulsing gently from We Light It Up's unique LED drum kit, the centrepiece of the band, and the source of their name, Vicky and Tony met and mingled with their guests over a light breakfast buffet, with everyone relaxing into the party spirit.
The midmorning ceremony saw We Light It Up switch to warm white lights, as Vicky and Tony, both dressed in vintage pilots' uniforms, took their vows in front of a gathering of friends, families, and colleagues. The songs chosen were deeply personal to the couple, and We Light It Up played them with a soft, lively tone, blending perfectly with the spoken expressions of love and commitment.
After a relaxed lunch, the happy couple went upstairs to change, and We Light It Up switched on the bright red LEDs, and ramped up for an evening celebration whose theme was “spurious yet seductive glamour” - the perfect way to end a perfect day.
