A beautiful venue for a beautiful day at The Barns Hotel
Michelle and Ross had chosen a 1930s theme for their wedding, which suited the quiet elegance of The Barns perfectly, especially as the weather was on the couple's side, with bright sunlight glinting over the lake, giving a clear invitation to take the celebrations outside, and make the most of a truly beautiful day.
The wedding had been planned to accommodate either an outdoor or indoor celebration, so there was no rush to change plans to suit the spectacular sunshine – the good weather eventuality rolled smoothly into play, with Musical Orphans starting off the celebrations with a light medley of classic 1930s sounds while Ross, Michelle, and their guests mingled in the fresh air, with many people opting to spend their time at the lake side.
A buffet lunch was served al fresco, with crisp, fresh salads looking bright and vibrant under the striking blue of the sky, and the smell of fresh-baked, artisan bread mingling with the scents and sounds of early summer.
After lunch, while the happy couple got changed, the wedding party moved inside, leaving the French doors open as Musical Orphans tuned up for a traditional, lively 1930s tea dance, the conclusion to a day that had been about fun, light formality, and a touch of bygone glamour. It's always a great feeling when the weather is spot on for a couple's celebrations, and Musical Orphans certainly enjoyed helping Michelle and Ross make the most of their big day.
Michelle and Ross:"We'd just like to say a big thank you to Musical Orphans; our wedding day started off the right way when we saw the bright sunshine, and the music put the finishing touches on a truly magical day.
If you're looking for a band who can handle any style of wedding, in any venue, then we'd definitely recommend Musical Orphans for fun, friendly, professional talent. We couldn't have asked for a better way to start our life together – and we're almost tempted to do it all again!"
