With over a decade of experience performing at venues and events across the UK, Musical Orphans should be your first choice if you're looking for a band that can make your celebration truly personal, which is exactly what newlyweds Kerry and Carl wanted from their wedding reception, in the elegant setting of London's Hendon Hall Hotel.
The couple wanted their guests to feel truly involved in their wedding, so, when the invitations went out, three months ahead of the big day, they included something a little bit different; when guests RSVP'd, they were asked to give the name of their favourite song.
Thinking well ahead, Kerry had booked Musical Orphans a year in advance, as she knew exactly what she wanted to do to celebrate her special day, and, six weeks before she celebrated her marriage to her childhood sweetheart, she presented Adam Chandler with the final list of their guests' favourite ways to get their groove on. Adam took it from there, bringing all the skill and flair Musical Orphans are known and loved for into play, and creating a beautiful soundtrack that celebrated not just love, but friendship, too, with livestream of their wedding being played to those who weren't able to make it on the day – from the comments on the live performance, a lot of people were genuinely touched to hear their favourite song played at their friends' wedding celebration.
Kerry:"Carl and I both have quite a few friends with disabilities and long term health issues, so we knew that not everyone who wanted to be at our wedding would be able to make it. We wanted those people to feel included, which led to me coming up with the idea of having a medley drawn from the favourite songs of all our friends – with our First Dance being a medley of all the songs of those who weren't able to be there with us; that led to the hilarious fact that the first time we heard the music for our First Dance was when our guests did!
Musical Orphans pulled it off perfectly, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for fun, quality, personal entertainment."
